Mitsubishi Thailand gives the Triton the subtlest of updates

The Mitsubishi Triton may appear to be relatively new in Mitsubishi’s stables, but the pickup truck has been out for almost two years now, which prompts at least a few updates here and there to keep the model fresh and interesting for buyers around the world.
As of June 2025, Mitsubishi Thailand has given the Triton a very subtle update, all mostly cosmetic or technology-related.

For one, all models under the Athlete now ditch their chrome trim in favor of blacked-out trim. The “Black Series” treatment extends to even the standard variants, meaning the grille and Dynamic Shield wings, side mirrors, running boards, door and tailgate handle, rear bumper, and the 18-inch alloy wheels are now, well, black.

At least in Thailand, all but the base Single Cab variants now come with LED daytime running lights and triple-beam LED headlights. However, it is unclear whether Mitsubishi Motors Philippines will equip the GL and GLX variants with these features, including the Dynamic Shield front grille.

Inside, models equipped with leather seats now come with the Heat Guard technology, which aims to keep the surface of the seats cooler, and the climate control now comes with Nanoe X air purification, similar to the Xforce.

And if you step up to any model with advanced driver assistance systems, the adaptive cruise control now has stop-and-go support, meaning the adaptive cruise control will work in traffic jams.

Otherwise, everything else remains unchanged, down to the 2.4-liter 4N16 turbodiesel, available in two states of tune (184 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque and 204 horsepower and 470 Nm of torque for the Athlete). With vehicles like the Mirage G4 getting updated, we won’t be surprised to see the Triton receive these very subtle changes as well.
