Tesla is PH’s best-selling EV brand for May and June 2026

It should be no surprise that with the crisis in the Middle East and the rising fuel costs, many people have jumped over to electric cars of all shapes and sizes. And one brand has proven to be very attractive to consumers with the right combination of features, tech, and pricing—and that brand is Tesla.
Considering how many Teslas can be seen on the streets recently, it’s no surprise that the American electric automaker is the country’s best-selling EV brand for May and June 2026, based on CAMPI-TMA data.
As of May and June 2026, Tesla Motors Philippines has sold 829 units and 984 units, respectively, putting them in the number 1 spot ahead of VinFast, which has moved 561 units and 859 units, respectively, for those two months.
This is because of new products such as the Model Y L, which has proven to be surprisingly popular with consumers shortly after its launch, the introduction of the Model 3 Standard, and, of course, its best-selling vehicle, the Model Y. Recently, all Tesla owners managed to get access to the Grok AI assistant as part of a free over-the-air update for Summer 2026.

While the country’s overall battery electric vehicle sales go to VinFast, it’s a close battle between the two brands, with VinFast having a total of 3,142 units and Tesla at 2,374 units; there’s no saying what could happen next as oil prices remain high and unstable.
