The Geely Coolray got a facelift, and this is what it looks like

A part of Geely Motor Philippines‘ initial relaunch lineup was the updated Coolray, which brought sweeping changes across the entire model, so much so that it almost felt like a full model change.

However, what most of us did not pick up on was that the Geely Coolray quietly got another update that launched first in the Middle East last March 2026. We finally got to see what it looks like in Hangzhou, China.

For starters, the front fascia no longer resembles the Lexus spindle grille, but it’s much more aggressive with black cladding that extends all the way to the edges of the bumper. In reality, the vent openings are still quite small, alongside “J” shaped accents found both in the front bumper and the cleaned-up rear bumper. It still has the same black 18-inch wheels as our local model.

The revamped interior looks more like a modern vehicle, with a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and 14.6-inch infotainment screen that runs Flyme Auto, bringing it in line with the rest of Geely’s lineup, new ventilated front seats, and more Level 2 ADAS systems.

It has the same four-cylinder, 1.5-liter NordThor turbocharged gasoline engine with 174 horsepower and 290Nm of torque, with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission sending power to the front wheels.

Should Geely Motor Philippines bring this over to the Philippines, or would you rather wait for the Coolray to get a full model update with electrification?
