These are the initial specifications of the all-new Toyota Hilux for PH

The all-new Toyota Hilux is getting closer to its Philippine launch as reservations have officially been opened and it has been previewed at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).
And while we already know of its rather controversial redesign that’s more of an evolution of the previous generation, this ninth-generation of the most popular pickup truck looks to be very promising. We also already now have an idea of what to expect when it launches as we now have some official specifications.

For starters, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) will be offering the all-new Hilux in both turbodiesel and battery electric vehicle (BEV) flavors, the latter a first for the midsize pickup truck. It will also be available in multiple variants at the following prices:
- Hilux 2.8 E 4×2 A/T – Php 1,772,000
- Hilux 2.8 E 4×4 M/T – Php 1,903,000
- Hilux 2.8 G 4×2 M/T – Php 1,798,000
- Hilux 2.8 G 4×2 A/T – Php 1,849,000
- Hilux 2.8 Conquest 4×2 A/T – Php 2,273,000
- Hilux 2.8 V 4×4 M/T – Php 2,533,000
- Hilux 2.8 Conquest 4×4 A/T – Php 2,611,000
- Hilux BEV – Php 2,990,000
All non-BEV variants will now be getting the tried-and-tested 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine known as the 1GD-FTV. It produces 204 horsepower, and 420Nm of torque with a six-speed manual transmission, or 500Nm with a six-speed automatic transmission.

The 2.8 V 4×4 also comes with an Intelligent Manual Transmission (IMT) function which manages revs, shifts gears more smoothly, and prevents stalling for off-road or low speed city driving conditions. The 2.8 Conquest 4×4 is equipped with Multi-Terrain Select, giving options of Dirt, Rock, Sand, Mogul, and Mud modes for off-roading.

Both 2.8 Conquest 4×2 and 4×4, and 2.8 V 4×4 share the same synthetic leather seat upholstery, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with electronic power steering and an electronic parking brake, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0.
Common to the rest of the lineup are fabric seat upholstery, seven-inch TFT driver’s display, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and hydraulic power steering and a manual brake lever.

These also now all sport LED headlights, with all but the base 2.8 E 4×2 coming with auto-leveling function. E and G variants also get 17-inch alloy wheels, while the V and Conquest variants get larger 18-inch wheels. Also exclusive to the Conquest are unique bumpers and a sports bar.
Available exterior colors on all variants are Super White 2 and Attitude Black Mica. Exclusive to the V and Conquest variants are Ash and Emotional Red 2, while exclusive to E and G variants is Silver Metallic.

Meanwhile, the Hilux BEV is powered by dual (front and rear) electric motors that produce a combined 196 horsepower, and 200Nm of torque from the front motor, and 269Nm from the rear motor. These are paired to a 59.2kWh lithium-ion battery that allows it to drive up to a modest 315km on a single charge, supported by Type 2 AC charging and CCS2 DC charging.
Standard equipment is similar to the turbodiesel V and Conquest variants, but with 17-inch alloy wheels and an electronic gear selector. Like those variants, it also gets a 360-degree camera, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a wireless phone charger. It’s also exclusively available in a Platinum White Pearl Mica exterior paint job.
