Toyota and Lexus are also growing their EV charging station network in PH

The number of EV charging stations in the Philippines continues to grow, thanks largely to private companies, including automotive companies such as ACMobility (BYD Cars Philippines and Kia Philippines), VinFast Philippines, and Tesla Philippines, all of whom have been expanding their charging network, albeit some exclusive to their own brands.

That’s definitely a need, especially with the increasing number of plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and battery electric vehicles (BEV) on local roads, partly due to the recent and rapid increase in fuel prices.

With that, Toyota Motor Philippines, and its luxury arm Lexus Philippines, are also expanding their own charging station network, especially with the former’s recent introduction of its own BEV offerings in the local market.

As of this writing, the two Japanese automakers have 15 operational EV charging stations across Luzon and Visayas. These are as follows:

  1. Lexus Manila Gallery, Taguig City
  2. Toyota North EDSA, Quezon City
  3. Toyota Quezon Avenue, Quezon City
  4. Toyota Commonwealth, Quezon City
  5. Toyota Manila Bay, Pasay City
  6. Toyota Global City, Taguig City
  7. Toyota Santa Rosa, Laguna
  8. Toyota Makati
  9. Toyota Pasig
  10. Toyota Alabang, Muntinlupa City
  11. Toyota San Fernando, Pampanga
  12. Toyota La Union
  13. Toyota Batangas
  14. Toyota Mabolo, Cebu
  15. Toyota Mandaue South, Cebu

All Toyota and Lexus BEVs can be recharged at any of those aforementioned EV charging stations free of charge (until further notice). More charging stations are also expected to become operational at more Toyota dealerships in the future.

Right now, BEV offerings from Toyota Motor Philippines are the bZ4X and Urban Cruiser, while Lexus Philippines currently offers the RZ, UX e, and the upcoming all-new ES which is possibly coming in fully electric form as well.
