You can buy BMW M2 M Performance parts in the PH

Buying aftermarket parts for premium European brands such as BMW was usually a “do-it-yourself” ordeal, with customers usually finding ways to import parts or via third-party accessory shops.

BMW Philippines is taking the initiative to do this by introducing BMW M Performance Parts to its original BMW Accessories catalog, beginning with the M2, but it has already added the 2 Series Coupé, the M5, and, oddly enough, the F70 1 Series hatchback, which hasn’t launched or been announced for the Philippines.

At the moment, there are a handful of parts that are mostly aesthetic, but there are already a handful of performance parts. Firstly, there are the Style 963 M 19/20-inch M Performance forged wheels finished in Frozen Gunmetal Gray, which come complete with a tire pressure monitor.

The centerpiece is the M Performance silencer system, a titanium center-exit exhaust system. Being made mostly of the lightweight metal with some stainless steel parts, this helps reduce weight by around eight kilograms and also gives a more aggressive, racing car-like exhaust note. It integrates directly with the M Setup menu, thanks to electronically controlled flaps that can silence it at the push of a button.

Next, there are carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) body parts, such as a rear ducktail spoiler and rear diffuser made specifically for the M Performance silencer, but there are also standalone titanium trim components available for the standard exhaust.

Finally, there’s a high-strength tow cable for those who desire to bring their cars to the track and have a race-inspired bit in case they find themselves in need of a tow.
