PEVS 2023: Lotus Eletre electric SUV launched for Php 9.999M introductory price
Lotus Cars Manila, under Autohub Group, brings electrification to its local lineup as it officially launches the Eletre, its first production SUV and first fully-electric offering in the Philippines, at the 2023 Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit.
The Lotus Eletre was revealed in March last year and is built on the Electric Premium Architecture platform which was developed by Geely, and is shared with other EV models such as the Zeekr 001, Zeekr 009, Polestar 3, and Polestar 5. To be specific, we’re getting the Eletre R which is the highest performance variant.
The Lotus Eletre R is the world’s fastest dual-motor pure electric SUV. It is powered by dual permanent magnet synchronous electric motors and a 112 kWh 800V lithium-ion battery. The powertrain produces a whopping 905 horsepower and 985 Nm of torque allowing it to go from 0 to 100 kph in under three (3) seconds.
A full charge can give a driving range of 490 kilometers. Charging time from 10 to 80% can be done via a 350kW DC charger in just 20 minutes. Meanwhile, charging from 0 to 100% through an 22kW AC wallbox charger can be done in 5.8 hours.
In terms of design, the Lotus Eletre R gets a sleek and futuristic exterior with sharp and slim daytime running lights, and chiselled lines. All its elements, combined with the aerodynamic profile makes it appear as a high-riding sports car.
Its interior is also undoubtedly futuristic and fuses together performance-oriented and technical design with technology and connectivity. Smack in the center is a large 15.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is only 10mm thick. There is also a 23-speaker KEF audio system with 3D surround sound.
The Lotus Eletre is now available in the country for an introductory price of Php 9,999,000. Its suggested retail price is set at Php 10,499,000.
