Left-hand drive Mitsubishi Xforce launched in Vietnam, is PH next?

Last August, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) confirmed the local arrival of the Xforce subcompact crossover and it looks like it’s getting closer as the model was recently launched in Vietnam, its first left-hand drive market.

Revealed at last year’s Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), the Mitsubishi Xforce is based on the XFC Concept and is designed specifically for the ASEAN market region. The Vietnamese-spec Xforce is very similar to what we already saw in Indonesia.

The Mitsubishi Xforce was revealed in Indonesia last year.

Designed with the concept of Silky & Solid, it wears a new and evolved version of the brand’s signature Dynamic Shield front fascia. The overall look is sleek and muscular, following the trend for most crossovers these days. The LED headlights and taillights follow a similar T-shape which will help make it instantly recognizable as a Mitsubishi product.

Its interior on the other hand follows the Horizontal Axis Concept. It is visibly a more upmarket and tech-filled interior compared to anything that Mitsubishi has done before.

We don’t know yet when exactly the Mitsubishi Xforce will arrive in the Philippines. Again, MMPC has already confirmed its arrival and given that our market is a big one for the Japanese automaker, it might be sooner than later.
