Mitsubishi Motors PH is once again showing off the Outlander at PIMS 2026

A few weeks ago, we reported that the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV may finally be launching in the Philippines, based on available public information. This comes after several public previews, such as at the 2023 Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS), and the brand’s 60th Anniversary Expo, in 2023 as well.
Now, it looks like we are indeed closer to a launch as Mitsubishi Motors Philippines (MMPC) has just teased the plug-in hybrid crossover, set to be showcased at the upcoming 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).
And yes, it is confirmed to be the plug-in hybrid variant as the Japanese automaker has mentioned that they will be debuting an electrified model. Final specifications and features have not yet been announced, as well as its pricing for our market.

Available information does tell us that it will come in a single GT 2.4G AWD variant, powered by 2.4-liter 4B12 gasoline engine and a 22.7kWh battery. Based on what other markets have, it should be good for an all-electric range of 103km, and a total combined range of a humble 690km. You can read more about the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV here.

Also noticeable is the Outlander PHEV’s reflection in MMPC’s key visual. Showing a Mitsubishi Xforce, could it be a hint at a possible introduction of the Xforce HEV? This was introduced to the Thai market last year with Mitsubishi’s e:Motion hybrid system, combining a 1.6-liter 4A92 gasoline engine paired to an electric motor and lithium-ion battery. The electric motor on its own produces 116 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque, and it gets a two-speed hybrid transmission.
The 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) is scheduled for June 4 to 7, 2026 (Thursday to Sunday), at the World Trade Center Metro Manila (WTCMM) in Pasay City, Metro Manila. With these possible introductions, do you think Mitsubishi Motors Philippines will be able to make a dent in the electrified vehicle market?
