PIMS 2026 | The e Vitara is the first true electrified Suzuki in PH

Suzuki Philippines is finally entering the real world of electrification at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) with the introduction of the e Vitara, months after the first bits of official information on it were first released by the Japanese automaker.
And before you say that Suzuki Philippines already has a lineup of hybrid vehicles, those aren’t really hybrids per se as they are just mild hybrids with very limited to almost no real benefit from electric motors. Also, this isn’t just a hybrid, it’s a full blown electric crossover.
In case you forgot, the Suzuki e Vitara is actually the base of the Toyota Urban Cruiser which was introduced in our market earlier this year, and just like that one, the e Vitara will come in a single GLX variant.
Built on the Heartect-e platform, the Suzuki e Vitara is powered by a single front electric motor that produces 174 horsepower and 193Nm of torque, paired to a 61kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery that allows for a range of 475km on a single full charge, and supports CCS2 DC fast charging and Type 2 AC charging.
Design-wise, the e Vitara measures at 4,275mm long, 1,800mm wide, and 1,635mm tall, while riding on a 2,700mm wheelbase. Its design doesn’t stray far from the Suzuki eVX Concept which it’s based on, with futuristic styling cues mixed with rugged touches through large amounts of black cladding.
Inside, this should look familiar as it is essentially the same as what’s seen in its Toyota twin, with a layered design and large panel that houses the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. There’s also a two-spoke steering wheel, and a rotary gear selector.
Standard equipment are LED exterior lighting, 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, a sunroof, synthetic leather and fabric seat upholstery, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and a nine-speaker JBL audio system.
It also comes with a suite of advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS), composed of adaptive cruise control, multi-collision braking, lane departure prevention, and lane keep assist, just to name a few. Seven airbags, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera are also included as standard.
Now you’re probably wondering how much this costs, especially with the Toyota Urban Cruiser seen as rather pricey. The Suzuki e Vitara GLX is priced at Php 2,020,000, which is Php 115,000 cheaper than its Toyota twin.
What do you think of the Suzuki e Vitara, and would you get it over the Toyota Urban Cruiser? If you already want to see it in the metal, you can check it out at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show, happening until June 7, 2026 (Sunday) at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay City.
