PIMS 2026 | The Nissan X-Trail e-Power is finally in PH, priced at Php 2.290M

The fourth generation Nissan X-Trail was initially revealed (as the Rogue) at a time when we were all locked indoors and wore face masks in order to keep ourselves protected from a virus. That was almost six years ago, and since then, we saw it previewed in our market a couple of times, remaining unlaunched, and we now even have an all-new seventh generation coming.

That changes now as Nissan Philippines has finally launched the compact crossover at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) in e-Power form, and at a very attractive retail price of Php 2,290,000 that puts it at a sweet spot right in the middle of its competition–the Toyota RAV4, Hyundai Tucson, and Honda CR-V, among others.

So what exactly does our market get with that price tag?

First, as mentioned, the X-Trail gets Nissan’s e-Power hybrid system. In this implementation, it combines a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine, an electric motor, and a 1.85kWh lithium-ion battery

This is good for a combined 204 horsepower and 330Nm of torque, sent to the front wheels. It also comes with Eco, Normal, and Sport driving modes, along with Nissan’s e-Pedal Step feature which allows for almost one-pedal driving capability.

As for design, we’re actually getting the facelifted X-Trail from Japan, unlike the Thai market which gets essentially the same look from 2020.

The overall appearance is identical to what we first saw six years ago, but with an updated V-Motion grille with horizontal slats and a blacked-out finish, new 19-inch multi-spoke two-tone alloy wheels, and gloss black bumpers and cladding. The special Launch Edition which will be available in limited quantities gets a blacked-out roof.

Among its standard exterior equipment are multi-reflector LED headlights, full LED taillights, a power tailgate, and a panoramic sunroof. Exterior color options are Cardinal Red Metallic, Stealth Pearl Gray, Everest White, and Sahara Dune Metallic (shown in photos).

The interior retains its dual-layer design from six years ago, but with some changes. There’s a new three-spoke steering wheel, and a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that shares its user interface with the Nissan Patrol.

Standard interior equipment are black leather seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, tri-zone automatic climate control, eight-way power adjustable and heated front seats, an electronic gear selector, and rear sunshades.

As for safety, the Nissan X-Trail e-Power is equipped with a suite of Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM) advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS). This gives it forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, automatic high beams, and driver attention assist. Interestingly, it only comes with regular cruise control.

The compact SUV is truly back in style, especially with higher costs of ownership for turbodiesel SUVs, which stole the limelight. With the Nissan X-Trail back in our market, albeit late and due for replacement soon, do you think it has what it takes to compete with newer rivals in the compact SUV segment?

If you already want to see the Nissan X-Trail e-Power in the metal, you can check it out at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show, happening until June 7, 2026 (Sunday) at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay City.
